Testimonials
Ken has done an extraordinary job of settling disputes with
franchisees with our company, saving us money on both legal bills,
and in lost sales due to what we must reveal on our disclosure
documents. His work has been so valuable to EmbroidMe, and I feel
confident he's able to handle many facets of franchising and
business development.

Fiscal Resolutions has helped me tremendously on two separate occasions to settle issues with our company concerning franchisees and landlords. I look to Ken as a “fix it” type of guy.

About Fiscal Resolutions
The driving force behind Fiscal Resolutions is Ken Gutman, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in improving bottom lines and negotiating disputes.
Ken has a true passion for negotiating deals and helping to prevent future problems. He possesses a unique ability to listen to both sides and get a clear understanding of what goals each party wants to accomplish. He’s able to establish what’s fair and get the parties to meet in the middle, based on the circumstances involved. It is a rare talent to successfully get two disputing sides to reach an out-of-court agreement, and this is what Ken does best. Ken has served as the Chief Operating Officer at United Franchise Group where he oversaw the company’s business operations. He started with the company in 1988 as a marketing representative, then became a Regional Vice President, and then became Vice President of Operations. During his time at UFG, Ken gained expertise overseeing the legal, royalty and operations departments with 1200 franchisees in the system, for brands such as:
- SIGNARAMA
- EmbroidMe
- Billboard Connection
- Plan Ahead Events
He settled collection disputes, enforced franchise agreements, ensured brand compliance and oversaw territory, marketing, and ad fund issues. He also handled all logistics details in re-sales with hostile parties, dealing with franchisees that either wanted to abandon stores or stayed in them for too long. Ken also served as a freelance business advisor, consulting companies on financial issues to reduce their expenditures. He is able to analyze company finances and offer solid solutions for improvement. Ken has degrees in Criminology and Political Science from Florida State University, where he first began to develop the necessary skills to investigate problems and offer solutions. Married for 13 years and father of two, Ken says that the word he lives by is “integrity” and you see it in all the work he does.
